Grimsby, Cleethorpes & District Citizens Advice Bureau

Grimsby, Cleethorpes & District Citizens Advice Bureau (CAB) provides free, independent, confidential and impartial advice to everyone on their rights and responsibilities (learn about our advice services). Founded in 1939, we are a successful and busy Bureau. We advise on around 1,000 problems each month.

Our twin aim is to gather data which is used to improve the policies and practices that affect people’s lives (see social policy)

We provide advice both face to face at our main branch or via our outreach sessions throughout the district & over the phone via our Adviceline service.

Our volunteers

The Citizens Advice Bureau is a charity that depends on income from funders to meet our service aims. We are staffed mainly by volunteers who give up their time to perform adviser, administration and reception duties.

Volunteers are the heartbeat of the Citizens Advice Bureau and the volunteer role underpins all our client focused and social policy work. We also have paid staff in administration, specialist caseworker, supervisor and managerial roles.

What is Adviceline?

a jelly world style telephoneAdvice Line is a national telephone number but will connect people to the Lincolnshire Adviceline Group and usually you will be answered by a trained assessor in the Grimsby CAB office who will be able to offer the help you need.
